Iowa DOT News Release

Patching work to restrict lanes on I-80 through the Quad Cities today

Posted on: November 24, 2008

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Nov. 24, 2008 – Maintenance will restrict lanes in both directions of Interstate 80 from exit 280 (Scott County Road Y-30) to exit 306 (U.S. 67) today, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) District 6 maintenance office.

The left lane of each direction of traffic will be intermittently closed as Iowa DOT maintenance workers repair the roadway.

The slow-moving maintenance operation presents significant danger to Iowa DOT workers. To minimize that danger, the Iowa DOT urges motorists to use caution in the work zone. Obey all posted signs. Allow ample space between vehicles, minimize distractions and always wear your seat belt.
