Proposed replacement of the Broadway viaduct (U.S. 6) in Council Bluffs will be discussed Dec. 9
AMES, Iowa – Nov. 26, 2008 – The proposed replacement of the Broadway viaduct (U.S. 6) in Council Bluffs will be discussed at a public meeting Tuesday, Dec. 9, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT).
The Iowa DOT will hold the meeting at the Council Bluffs Community Hall, 205 South Main St. The public is invited to attend anytime between 5:30 and 7 p.m.
No formal presentation will be made at this meeting; however, details of the proposed project will be discussed. Iowa DOT staff members will be available to present related information and discuss the proposal informally with interested citizens.
Eastbound U.S. 6 traffic would be maintained on the viaduct, while westbound U.S. 6 traffic would be detoured during construction.
