CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Nov. 21, 2008 – Pothole patching on westbound Iowa 100 will restrict traffic this morning, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Cedar Rapids maintenance office.
The work is set to take place on westbound Iowa 100 beginning at the intersection Interstate 380 and continuing to just before Iowa 922. The pothole patching project is expected to wrap up by early afternoon.
Pothole patching is one of the most dangerous operations performed by Iowa DOT maintenance crews. Motorists are urged to use caution when driving on in the work zone, obey all posted signs, limit distractions and wear seat belts.
