Lanes on I-80 restricted in both directions in Adair County

CRESTON, Iowa – March 24, 2009 – Construction work on Interstate 80 in Adair County is causing lane restrictions until Friday night, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Creston construction office.
The inside lane on both east- and westbound I-80 are currently closed to prepare for upcoming construction work from Iowa 148 to exit 86 (Iowa 25) in Adair County.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted signs in the work area and that traffic fines double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, obey posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
