Southbound I-280 lane restrictions today in Davenport for guardrail repair

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – March 25, 2009 – Repairs to a guardrail will restrict traffic on southbound Interstate 280 in Scott County to one lane from the Iowa 22 (exit 8) interchange to the Mississippi River bridge, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) District 6 maintenance office.
The right lane of southbound I-280 is expected to be closed until approximately 3 p.m. today.
The Iowa DOT urges motorists to use caution in the work zone, obey posted speed limits, reduce distractions, and wear seat belts.
