Proposed safety improvements west of Rudd to be discussed May 5
AMES, Iowa – April 24, 2009 – Proposed safety improvements at the intersection of U.S. 18 and Floyd County Road T-24 west of Rudd will be discussed at a public meeting Tuesday, May 5, 2009, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT). The project would provide for reconstruction of Floyd County Road T-24 to improve the intersection alignment.
The Iowa DOT will hold the meeting at the Rockford Community Center, 206 W. Main Ave. The public is invited to attend anytime between 5 and 7 p.m.
No formal presentation will be made at this meeting; however, details of the proposed safety improvements will be discussed. Iowa DOT staff members will be available to discuss the project informally with interested citizens.
Floyd County Road T-24 traffic would be detoured during construction.
