Roadwork restricts Iowa 130 in Cedar County Wednesday and Thursday

DAVENPORT, Iowa – April 28, 2009 – Roadwork on Iowa 130 in Cedar County will restrict lanes Wednesday and Thursday, April 29 and 30, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Davenport construction office.
The pavement patching work will close one lane in each direction 2.5 miles east of Tipton. The open lanes will have a 12-foot lane width restriction.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
