Iowa DOT News Release

Lee County Road X-32 in Fort Madison now open

Posted on: July 31, 2009

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa – July 31, 2009 –  Lee County Road X-32 in Fort Madison reopened today, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Mount Pleasant construction office.

The road had been closed to allow contractors to work on the U.S 61 bypass of Fort Madison. The Iowa DOT thanks the contractors on this project for a job well done in keeping the closure time on this roadway to a minimum. Thanks also to the local citizens for their patience during this phase of construction. While this was a necessary portion of the work, the Iowa DOT recognizes that it may have been an inconvenience to residents in the area. Your cooperation has been appreciated by all involved.
