Proposed culvert replacements on U.S. 69 to be discussed Aug. 11 in Klemme


AMES, Iowa – July 31, 2009 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, in Klemme to discuss the proposed replacement of three culverts on U.S. 69 south of Klemme. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Klemme City Hall, 204 E. Main St.

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present with plans, displays and related information to discuss the project informally.

Through traffic would be detoured on Hancock County roads B-55, R-56 and B-63 during construction.
