Proposed I-80 interchange reconstruction at exit 142 to be discussed Oct. 15 in Altoona
AMES, Iowa – Sept. 30, 2009 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, in Altoona to discuss the proposed reconstruction of the Interstate 80 interchange with U.S. 65 and U.S. 6 (exit 142). The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express conference room, 165 Adventureland Dr. N.W. (I-80 exit 143).
This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present with plans, displays and related information to discuss the project informally.
Through traffic would be maintained on I-80, U.S. 65 and U.S. 6 during construction.
