Asphalt crack-filling operations restrict traffic on Iowa 25 in Ringgold County until Friday

CRESTON, Iowa – Oct. 28, 2009 – Intermittent lane closures will be needed to allow crews to fill cracks in the roadway can be expected on Iowa 25 in Ringgold County until Friday, Oct. 30, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Creston construction office.

The work is scheduled on Iowa 25 between Ringgold County Road J-13 and U.S. 34. When the roadway is reduced to one lane, traffic will be assisted through the work area by flaggers and a pilot car.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
