U.S. 218 exit ramp to eastbound I-80 in Coralville closed tonight

AMES, Iowa – Nov. 23, 2009 – Road maintenance operations will require the closure of the exit ramp on northbound U.S. 218 to eastbound Interstate 80 near milepost 96 in Coralville tonight from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT).
When the ramp is closed, traffic will follow a marked detour.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
