AMES, Iowa – Dec. 29, 2009; 11:30 a.m. update – The last road closed by Iowa’s latest winter storm reopened this morning. The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) road crews have been out in full force since the storm began, and opened the last stretch of snowbound roadway this morning. AMES, Iowa – Dec. 28, 2009; 5:30 p.m. update – Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) road crews have been able to open all but one section of roadway following the snowstorm that began last week. Permitted oversize loads begin moving again in parts of Iowa
