AMES, Iowa – Dec. 30, 2009 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, in Springville to discuss the proposed modification of the U.S. 151/Linn County Road X-20 intersection. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5:30 and 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 331, 252 Broadway.
This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present with plans, displays and related information to discuss the improvement informally.
Left turns would be allowed from U.S. 151 across the median. Linn County Road X-20 left turn and through traffic would be restricted with the use of J-turns. Right turn lanes would be construction on U.S. 151 at the intersection.
