Proposed I-35 interchange near Ankeny to be discussed Jan. 14

AMES, Iowa – Dec. 30, 2009 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in Ankeny to discuss the design and right-of-way details for the proposed Interstate 35/Northeast 36th Street interchange. At the meeting, site alternatives for the proposed rest area relocation at the I-35/Iowa 210 interchange will also be presented. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Ankeny Fire Station training/conference room, 120 N.W. Ash Drive.

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present with plans, displays and related information to discuss the projects informally.
