Iowa DOT welcomes Lt. Governor Judge to Chariton March 1


AMES, Iowa – Feb. 26, 2010 – Two Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) bridge repair projects in Lucas County will receive special attention Monday, March 1, as Lt. Governor Patty Judge visits Chariton as part of the Moving Iowa Forward tour.  

The public is invited to Carpenter’s Hall, 1215 Court Ave., in Chariton at 10:45 a.m. Monday to hear Lt. Governor Judge and others talk about projects which received $1 million through the I-JOBS Bridge Safety Fund.

Governor Culver’s $830 million I-JOBS initiative will provide $115 million for transportation projects throughout the state. I-JOBS was the Culver/Judge Administration’s top legislative priority for the 2009 session.
