I-35 pavement work to cause lane restrictions this week in Clarke and Warren Counties

Posted on: March 29, 2010

CHARITON, Iowa – March 29, 2010 – A pavement grinding project will cause intermittent lane restrictions on Interstate 35 in Warren County beginning March 30, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Chariton construction office.

The roadway may be intermittently reduced to one lane in under the interstate bridges between exit 36 (Iowa 152/Clarke County Road R-35) and exit 52 (Warren County Road G-50, 6 miles south of the Saint Charles area). Travel restrictions are expected to be in place through Friday, April 2.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
