Lane restrictions on westbound U.S. 30 in Carroll

Posted on: July 30, 2010

ROCKWELL CITY, Iowa – July 30, 2010 – Road construction work will result in lane closures on westbound U.S. 30 from Carroll Street to Main Street in Carroll, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Rockwell City garage.

Westbound U.S. 30 will be shared with opposing traffic during the project. In addition, a 12-foot width lane restriction is in place. The project is expected to be completed Sept. 27, weather permitting.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
