Posted on: August 30, 2010

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Aug. 30, 2010 – Traffic sign work will require closure of the exit ramp from southbound Interstate 380 to eastbound U.S. 30 today and Tuesday, Aug. 31 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Cedar Rapids construction office. In addition, lane restrictions will occur on both directions of I-380 between U.S. 30 and 33rd Avenue Wednesday, Sept. 1 and Thursday, Sept. 2 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Traffic should follow the marked detour.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
