Posted on: September 24, 2010

BRITT, Iowa – Sept. 24, 2010 – Concrete patching work on Iowa 9 between I-35, near Hanlontown, and U.S. 65, near Manly, will require a lane width restriction of 12-feet starting Monday, Oct. 4, until Friday, Oct. 15, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's (DOT) Britt construction office.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limits and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
