Proposed replacement of the U.S. 71 bridge over the Wall Lake outlet to be discussed Jan. 13 in Lake View


AMES, Iowa – Dec. 28, 2010 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, to discuss the proposed replacement of the U.S. 71 bridge over the Wall Lake outlet, near Black Hawk Lake just east of Lake View in Sac County. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Lake View City Office, 305 Main St.

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present to discuss the project informally. 

Through traffic will be detoured using Sac County roads D-54 and M-64 during construction.
