Scheduled closure of northbound I-29 at Missouri Valley postponed

AMES, Iowa – Jan. 28, 2011 – The Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) is reporting that work scheduled on the snow gate on Interstate 29 at exit 75 (U.S. 30) near Missouri Valley has been postponed. A closure of this roadway had been set for the northbound lanes today from 9 to 10 a.m.
No reschedule date has been set to complete the work on the snow gates.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
