FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Beginning Jan. 24, 2011, weather permitting, northbound U.S. 77 traffic southwest of South Sioux City at the Kingsbury interchange will be detoured to enable repairs to the overpass. Traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 129 east to Interstate 29 north. Traffic will continue on 1-29 north to the Wesley Parkway interchange to reconnect with U.S. 77.
Local traffic may consider exiting at the Dakota Avenue Intersection, turn north and re-entering westbound 1-129 via the entrance ramp, then proceeding to the U.S. 77 exit ramp. Eastbound I-129 traffic at the interchange should expect lane restrictions to allow for construction equipment to access the overpass. Also, the north U.S. 77 exit ramp for eastbound 129 will be closed. Construction is expected to last approximately 3 weeks.
