Iowa Transportation Commission travels to Washington, D.C.

AMES, Iowa – March 24, 2011 – Members of the Iowa Transportation Commission will travel to Washington, D.C., to meet with members of Iowa’s congressional delegation April 6 and 7.
Items to be discussed include federal surface transportation reauthorization and the annual and long-term funding outlook and needs. Other possible discussion topics include potential changes in federal transportation programs; federal, state and local roles in surface transportation programs; and non-highway modes of transportation.
Transportation-related matters will be discussed, but no action will be taken.
