Replacement of Iowa 57 bridge in Ackley to be discussed April 12
AMES, Iowa – March 24, 2011 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public meeting Tuesday, April 12, to discuss the proposed replacement of the Iowa 57 bridge over the Chicago Central and Pacific Railroad track in Ackley. The meeting will be held at the AGWSR High School Cafeteria, 918 Fourth Ave., in Ackley from 5 to 7 p.m.
This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present to discuss the project informally.
Through traffic would be detoured using Hardin County Road S-56, U.S. 20 and Grundy County Road T-19 during construction.
