Several roads in northeast Iowa remain closed due to flash flooding

AMES, Iowa – July 28, 2011 – 3 p.m. update – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is reporting that a number of roadways in northeast Iowa remain closed due to flash flooding.
At the present time, the following roadways are reported closed due to flooding in the region.
- U.S. 20 bridge over the Mississippi River
- U.S. 52 between Dubuque County Roads D-10 (near Sageville) and Y-21 (near Rickardsville)
- U.S. 151 between Simon Road and Gehl Lane at Fillmore. Oversize loads should not use U.S. 151 in Dubuque County.
Recently opened roads since last update
- U.S. 20, at the 308 mile marker, near Peosta in Dubuque County
