Northbound U.S. 52 in Guttenberg to close for survey work beginning Dec. 12
MASON CITY, Iowa – Dec. 12, 2011 – Survey work will require closing the northbound lane of U.S. 52 in Guttenberg between Haydn Street and North Hill Drive during daylight hours from Dec. 12 through Dec. 16 and from Dec. 19 through Dec. 22, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) District 2 Office in Mason City.
Flaggers will assist traffic through the work zone during the lane closures.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limits and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
