Proposed Reconstruction of U.S. 61 in Louisa County to Be Discussed March 14

AMES, Iowa – Feb. 28, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, March 14, to discuss the design and right-of-way impacts for the proposed four-lane reconstruction of U.S. 61 in Louisa County from 130th Street north to the existing four-lane roadway at the Muscatine County line.

The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Louisa-Muscatine Elementary School Cafeteria, 14506 170th Street in Letts.

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed reconstruction. No formal presentation will be made.
