Posted on: March 29, 2013

NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – March 29, 2013 – Traffic in the southbound lanes of Interstate 380 at the Mitchell Avenue intersection with U.S. 218/I-380 in Waterloo will be restricted to two lanes and the right shoulder will be closed for a segment of one-half mile so a dynamic message board can be installed beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.

This project is expected to be completed by May 1.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
