Iowa Transportation Commission Approves Grant for Allison


AMES, Iowa – June 11, 2013 – Today, the Iowa Transportation Commission approved a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Local Development grant application submitted by the city of Allison. Up to $155,475 will be made available to assist in construction of an approximately 720-foot extension of Oak Street north from the end of the existing pavement located on the southeast side of town in their industrial park. This project is anticipated to be completed by August 2014.

This project is necessary to provide access to more than 10 acres for industrial purposes.

Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE Fund.
