Proposed Improvement Alternatives for U.S. 61 in Des Moines and Louisa Counties to Be Discussed Sept. 10

AMES, Iowa – Aug. 28, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Sept. 10, to discuss four-lane improvement alternatives for U.S. 61 from Burlington north to 1 mile north of Iowa 78 in Des Moines and Louisa counties.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Mediapolis High School, 725 N. Northfield St. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the improvement alternatives. No formal presentation will be made.
