U.S. 63 reopens from south of Hudson to West Schrock Road/Black Hawk County Road D-35 Thursday #iatraffic
NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – Aug. 28, 2013 – U.S. 63 will reopen to traffic from just south of Hudson to West Schrock Road/Black Hawk County Road D-35 Thursday, Aug. 29, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.
The shoulder along U.S. 63 will remain closed so additional work can be completed. Motorists should watch for construction workers and equipment working near the roadway.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
