Iowa Transportation Commission approves grant for city of Clinton
AMES, Iowa – Nov. 12, 2013 – Today, the Iowa Transportation Commission approved a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Local Development grant application submitted by the city of Clinton. Up to $449,433 will be made available to assist in construction of a right-turn lane on Iowa 136, approximately 1,100 feet of 19th Avenue North and approximately 880 feet of 10th Street Northwest located on the northwest side of town in the Lyons Business and Technology Park. This project is anticipated to be completed by November 2014.
This project is necessary to provide access to seven lots totaling more than 25 acres for professional office purposes.
Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE Fund.
