Proposed improvements along U.S. 59 to be discussed Dec. 12 in Cherokee
AMES, Iowa – Nov. 27, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Dec. 12, to discuss the proposed improvements along U.S. 59 from the Ida and Cherokee county line north to Iowa 3 in Cherokee County.
All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Western Iowa Tech Community College, 200 Victory Drive in Cherokee. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
Traffic would be detoured during a portion of the construction using Ida County Road D-15 and Ida/Cherokee County Road L-51. (For more information, see the website listed below.)
