Proposed reconstruction of U.S. 63 from Franklin to Newell streets in Waterloo to be discussed Dec. 3 in Waterloo
AMES, Iowa – Nov. 19, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Dec. 3, to discuss the design details and right-of-way impacts for the proposed reconstruction of U.S. 63 in Waterloo from Franklin Street to Newell Street.
All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the New Life Center, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 207 W. Louise St., in Waterloo. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvement. No formal presentation will be made.
Traffic would be detoured during construction using U.S. 218, Airport Boulevard, Broadway Street, and West Airline Highway. (For more information, see the website listed below.)
