U.S. 65 in Collins to close May 5 for roadway improvements #iatraffic
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – April 30, 2014 – Reconstruction of 0.7 miles of U.S. 65 and the replacement of a highway bridge over a bike trail with a reinforced box culvert at the south end of Collins will require closing the roadway and detouring traffic beginning Monday, May 5, until late October, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Marshalltown construction office.
During construction, traffic will be detoured around the construction zone using Iowa 210, Interstate 35, and U.S. 30. Trail users will follow the trail detour during construction. http://www.iowadot.gov/roadconstruction/district1/85-0655-030.html

As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
