AMES, Iowa – May 29, 2014 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, June 10, to discuss the proposed improvement of U.S. 69 from just south of Iowa 210 north to the south city limits of Ames in Story County.
Traffic would be detoured during construction using Iowa 210, Story County roads R-38 and E-63 (three-week detour) and Iowa 210, Interstate 35, and U.S. 30 (three-month detour). For more information, see the website listed below.
All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Ballard High School’s Commons/Cafeteria, 701 Ballard Drive, in Huxley. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
