Driver’s license services temporarily suspended at Van Buren County Treasurer’s Office
ANKENY, Iowa – July 22, 2014 – The Van Buren County Treasurer’s Office has notified the Iowa Department of Transportation that it has suspended driver’s license services due to staffing issues in the county treasurer’s office. It is anticipated suspension of the services will be temporary.
Until service is restored, customers can visit the Iowa DOT’s driver’s license station in Ottumwa at 2830 N. Court or Burlington at 2700 Mount Pleasant St. or visit the Iowa DOT’s online renewal system, myMVD, at https://mymvd.iowadot.gov.
Iowa DOT driver’s license issuance sites are open Tuesday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with myMVD available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Driver’s license services are also available at any of the surrounding county treasurer’s offices, including:
- Davis County Treasurer’s Office at 100 Courthouse Square, Suite 8, in Bloomfield.
- Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office at Court and Briggs in Fairfield.
- Henry County Treasurer’s Office at 100 E. Washington St. in Mount Pleasant.
- Lee County Treasurer’s Office at 933 Ave. H in Fort Madison.
