Iowa Transportation Commission to hold public input meeting
AMES, Iowa – July 14, 2014 – The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold a public input meeting in Cedar Rapids Tuesday, August 12, to hear about transportation matters from representatives of local government, interest groups, and individuals. Items that may be discussed at the meeting include the Iowa Transportation Improvement Program; transportation policies; and highway, aviation, rail, river, bicycle, pedestrian, and public transit topics. A brief business meeting will begin at 8 a.m. with the public input meeting to immediately follow.
The public input meeting will be held in Room Taft A at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex, 350 1st Ave. NE, in Cedar Rapids. On Monday, August 11, the commissioners will meet informally and tour transportation projects in east central Iowa. No action will be taken on transportation-related matters during the tour.
