Iowa DOT’s River Place driver’s license station in Des Moines closed temporarily

AMES, Iowa – Aug. 15, 2014 – The Iowa Department of Transportation’s driver’s license station located at 2339 Euclid Ave. in Des Moines has closed due to a fiber optic issue. The facility will remain closed for the rest of today and is expected to reopen tomorrow morning.

Persons needing driver’s license services and are unable to wait until the facility reopens, may go to any of the other Iowa driver’s license issuance locations. A complete listing of issuance locations is available online at: http://www.iowadot.gov/mvd/ods/dlsites.htm.

Another option available to Iowa licensed drivers and nonoperator’s ID holders is the Iowa DOT’s online services available on its website, including renewals, change of mailing address, driving record, reinstatement requirements, payment of civil penalties, etc. Visit Online Services at https://mymvd.iowadot.gov/Account/Login.
