Ramp closure plus a traffic shift on southbound I-29 at the Floyd Boulevard interchanges near Sioux City begin at 8 a.m. April 14 #iatraffic
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – April 8, 2015 – Road work to prepare for the southbound Interstate 29/Floyd River bridge replacement requires shifting southbound I-29 traffic to the northbound I-29 lanes north and south of the Floyd Boulevard interchange (exit 147) beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, until December 2015, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Sioux City construction office.
The traffic shift requires the closure of the southbound I-29 on-ramp from Floyd Boulevard. The ramp traffic will be detoured to Dace Avenue, then to Virginia Street, then to Gordon Drive, and then Pierce Street to reach the southbound I-29 on-ramp. See map for additional details.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
