Proposed improvements to I-29 and Woodbury County Road K-25 interchange to be discussed June 9 in Salix


AMES, Iowa – May 28, 2015 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, June 9, to discuss the proposed improvements to Interstate 29 and Woodbury County Road K-25 interchange near Salix. The interchange is 6.4 miles north of Iowa 141.

Woodbury County Road K-25 will be closed to traffic within the interchange. The northbound ramps will be closed during construction. Traffic on the southbound interchange ramps will be maintained, except for brief periods. Traffic on I-29 will be maintained at all times except for short durations.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at Salix Community Center, 315 Tipton St., in Salix. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
