Iowa DOT to sell used computers

AMES, Iowa – July 21, 2015 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will sell used computer equipment Wednesday, July 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will be held in the auction building south of the Iowa DOT's sign shop on South Fourth Street in Ames. Access to the building is from South Oak Street.
Items to be sold include approximately:
- 230 laptops ($75 or less - limit of 10 per customer)
- 75 HP DC5800 and DC6000 desktops
- 20 HP CAD workstations
Computers will be sold with no software. All equipment sold as is. Payment is cash only, personal checks and credit and debit cards will not be accepted.
