SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Aug. 11, 2015 – Overhead sign truss work will require intermittent closures of southbound Interstate 29 from south of the Floyd Boulevard interchange (exit 147) to north of the I-129/U.S. 20/U.S. 75 interchange (exit 144) after 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Sioux City construction office.
During the intermittent closures, traffic will be stopped for 20-minute intervals. Motorists approaching this area should drive with caution and be prepared to stop for traffic backups beyond the limits of the work zone.
One lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to allow the contractor to prepare the site for the evening closure.
