Interstate 74 bridge rehabilitation causes lane and ramp closures between Bettendorf and Moline #iatraffic
DAVENPORT, Iowa – Aug. 10, 2015 – The right lane of westbound Interstate 74 (Iowa-bound from Illinois) will be closed between River Drive (exit 1) in Moline, Illinois, and U.S. 67/Grant and State streets (exit 4) in Bettendorf, Iowa, beginning Monday, Aug. 17, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport construction office.
A 10-foot width lane restriction in the open lane will be in effect throughout the closure, which is scheduled to last through Sunday, Aug. 30.
Ramp closures
Illinois: The on-ramp to access westbound I-74 from River Drive is currently closed. To access westbound I-74 from River Drive, follow the marked detour (see map) and also and listed below.
- Take River Drive to 19th Street.
- Turn south on 19th Street to Seventh Avenue.
- Turn east on Seventh Avenue to access westbound I-74 using the Seventh Avenue on-ramp.
Iowa: The off-ramp to U.S. 67/State and Grant streets from westbound I-74 will be closed beginning Aug. 17. To access U.S. 67/Grant and State streets follow the marked detour and listed below (see 511ia.org for this detour map).
- Continue on westbound I-74.
- Exit at Middle Road.
- Continue west on Middle Road to access eastbound I-74.
- Follow eastbound I-74 to U.S. 67/Grant and State streets exit.
