Update: Culvert replacement to cause closure of Iowa 9 west of U.S. 65 in Manly beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1 #iatraffic
MASON CITY, Iowa – Aug. 26, 2015 – Iowa 9 in Worth County 1.5 miles west of U.S. 65 in Manly will be closed due to a culvert replacement project beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Britt Resident Construction Office.
Traffic on Iowa 9 will be detoured using Worth County roads S-34, A-39, and U.S. 65.
The project is expected to be completed in late September.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
