Proposed bridge replacement at Morningstar Drive over I-35/80 in Polk County to be discussed Oct. 27 in Des Moines

AMES, Iowa – Oct. 15, 2015 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Oct. 27, to discuss the proposed bridge replacement of the Morningstar Drive bridge over Interstate 35/80, approximately 1.7 miles west of the I-35/80/Second Avenue (Iowa 415) interchange in Polk County. 

Morningstar Drive will be closed during construction. I-35/80 will remain open except for limited closures.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Polk County Public Works, 5885 NE 14th St., in Des Moines.

The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
