Update – Exit ramp to U.S. 61 on eastbound U.S. 34 in West Burlington closed until Oct. 23 #iatraffic
WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Oct. 22, 2015 – Road patching work on eastbound U.S. 34 in West Burlington requires closing the eastbound off-ramp to U.S. 61 at exit until 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Mount Pleasant construction office.
The U.S. 34 westbound off-ramp to U.S. 61 will be closed on Monday, Oct. 26 for patching work after the eastbound ramp is open.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
