Daytime lane closures on northbound U.S. 218/Iowa 27 at Black Hawk County Road C-57 March 28 and 29 #iatraffic
NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – March 25, 2016 – Placement of concrete bridge deck forms over northbound U.S. 218 at the future interchange with Black Hawk County Road C-57 requires lane closures from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 28 and 29, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.
Northbound U.S. 218 traffic impacts
- The inside lane will be closed Monday, March 28.
- The outside lane will be closed Tuesday, March 29.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
