Northbound I-380 near Shueyville to close tonight for emergency repairs #iatraffic

MANCHESTER, Iowa – May 10, 2016 – Emergency guardrail repairs and cleanup due to an crash on northbound Interstate 380 near the Iowa River bridge requires closing the roadway to traffic from 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 until midnight, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Manchester construction office.

I-380 traffic impacts

  • Northbound I-380 will be closed between Penn Street/Johnson County Road F-28 (exit 4) and Johnson County Road F-12 (exit 10) near Shueyville.
  • Motorists will be detoured around the work zone by using Iowa 1, U.S. 151, and U.S. 30.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
